Cippenham Lunch Club

Cippenham Lunch Club provides activities for up to 3,592 older people from the local and surrounding areas, as well as providing nutritional meals and other services including free toe nail cutting, manicures and chiropody.

Great ideas and hard work from the manager, staff and volunteers have ensured a well organised, varied activity programme throughout the year, including line dancing, short mat bowls, plastic canvas, seated and advanced exercise classes, Tai Chi, yoga craft and bell ringing, together with a special Christmas lunch.

The Club has also organised holidays to places such as Paignton in Devon, together with day trips to Bourton on the Water, Brighton, Eastbourne, London Christmas lights and local schools.

During 2010, special events were held in the evenings to promote the Lunch Club within the local community, including Evening Bingo and Murder & Mystery themed evenings. Open Days at the weekends are planned in future.
