The Resource Centre

Since June 2010, the Centre has been located above the Village Shopping Centre in Slough High Street, and offers help and a varied programme of activities for local older people in their 50s and 60s.

Activities at the Centre include cake decorating, yoga, ballroom dancing lessons, flower arranging, therapy sessions on Indian Head massage, Reiki, reflexology and darts.

There is a roof garden with raised flower beds, giving a lovely welcoming area to sit when the weather is good and entertainers are invited into the centre for a number of themed days throughout the year.

Individual members' birthdays are celebrated with cards, and on significant birthdays, a small party with cakes is held. When celebrating Mothers day, all members receive a pot plant.

Membership has increased well beyond the numbers originally planned- proving that the Resource centre is an essential part of the local community.
