Dear Potters
Dear potters
The forthcoming selling exhibition on 24 March 2012 at St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Cookham Road, Maidenhead, SL6 7EG. Thanks to all who helped in finding the new venue. The charity to be supported in 2012 is Age Concern Slough and Berkshire East; you can look on www.ageconcernsabe.org.uk to see the valuable service that it provides.
Background entertainment will be provided by singer/guitarist Dan Nicholls.
At this stage there is no need for potters to return any forms: I would just appreciate an early reply to this message letting me know whether or not you intend to participate.
Those who have not participated before are welcome to email or telephone on 01895 255 027 for any further information.
If you know other potters who might like to participate in the exhibition please let me know. You are welcome to pass on this message for their information.
I have contacted St Joseph’s Parish Centre and agreed the arrangements for the 2012 exhibition. It will be held 24 March 2012 and set up will be on the same day from 8 to 10.30 am. The address is Cookham Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 7EG. The location is close to Sainsbury on the A4.
The entry fee will be £10 for a table with up to 40 items (there will be no further charges per pot as in previous years). Please note the following dates in your diaries and let me know as soon as possible if you cannot participate.

Please provide a piece for the raffle on the set-up day.
The charity to be supported in 2011 will be Age Concern, www.ageconcernsabe.org.uk . It will receive 20% of the sales and all the raffle proceeds. Please remember this when you are setting your prices, which you should rounded up to the nearest pound.
Tables will be provided but you should bring a white cloth large enough to cover your table (and its legs). If you require access to an electric power point or want to display any of your exhibits against a wall, you should indicate this on the entry form. As in previous years, I am planning to produce printed labels for each exhibit.
I will arrange some advertising but your help in distributing invitations and with publicity is essential for a successful event. I plan to distribute invitations, flyers and posters in February. Last year’s customers and visitors will receive invitations to the Preview. Sales are directly linked to well-targeted invitations and posters. Please let me know names and addresses if you cannot deliver invitations personally and I will add them to the mailing list.
To keep stationery and postage costs to the minimum, I will use e-mail wherever possible. It would be helpful to receive your booking forms by 2 January and entry forms by 14 March.
Best wishes
Les Parrott
